Peterson's Pipe of the Year is traditionally one of the firm's vintage shapes that has been resurrected from their archives. While the 2019 offering is indeed a vintage shape, it is also one that should be instantly recognizable – Peterson's classic John Bull, or the original "999" Rhodesian.

The "999" is arguably the Irish firm's most celebrated shape, and while its popularity has been largely unchanged over time, Peterson's classic Rhodesian has evolved over the centuries. This year Peterson calls back to their earlier days with this vintage example of the iconic "999", crafting a form with the stouter shank and compact profile of yesteryear's John Bull. Available in five distinct finishes fitted with broad sterling silver bands, this iteration is presented in delightfully crisp sandblast.
